I love the tarot cards, they can be very insightful and healing.  I use them all the time for myself too, not just for readings.  Most recently I had a deeply tiring family situation where I wanted to know when I would be released from my obligations - so I pulled an animal oracle card.  I could not have picked a more appropriate or comforting card.  It was the White Raven card which delivered a wonderful message that I was surrounded by magic and I just had to believe in it.  Sometimes it’s only after an event that we recognise that spirit is working for our best outcome and all we have to do is to go with it.   Understanding that we are not in control of everything and surrendering can, however, be the hardest thing to do!

I use the Rider Waite and El Tarot de Rohrig decks for readings and I also have fairy cards and animal oracle cards that I may include depending on what intuition I receive.
