Reiki is a holistic Japanese technique; Rei meaning higher knowledge and Ki, life energy.  As a whole it means spiritually guided life energy.
 

Reiki is a naturally safe and non invasive treatment that gently channels healing energy into your body which helps you to achieve a profound state of relaxation and calmness.  It also revitalises you by clearing any energy blockages and renewing your sense of vitality and it has been know alleviate physical discomfort and promote natural healing.

What can you expect to feel?

You may sense warmth, coolness, tingling, or sometimes nothing at all—any of these responses are perfectly normal.

Emotions, colours, lights, or images may surface to be gently processed and released. This is part of clearing blockages..

After Care 

I recommend keeping your schedule free after a Reiki session so you can integrate the experience and enjoy the deep relaxation it brings. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants, as staying hydrated and clear supports your body in releasing toxins and stagnant energy.
Most people leave a session feeling calm, balanced, and mentally clear. Others may feel refreshed and energised while still grounded. Occasionally, the body may choose to release old energies it no longer needs. This can show up as temporary tiredness, feeling cold, or moments of emotional release. If this happens, simply be gentle with yourself and allow the process to unfold—these sensations usually pass quickly.

Sessions are generally about an hour, the first one will include some questions about your medical history and lifestyle and will be a bit longer.
